At the April 18th, 2015 Greater Baton Rouge USBC Open Meeting, the following Board Members are up for re-election for two year terms:

New candidates must complete the Eligibility Forms and all nominees must meet the qualifications as listed below. Eligibility Forms must be received by the Association Manager no later than April 1st, 2015. Eligibility Forms can be downloaded from our website: www.greaterbatonrougeusbc.com.
A Candidate for the board must be:
1. A USBC member in good standing of the association at the time of election and throughout their term.
2. Elected or appointed without regard to race, color, religion, gender, disability, national origin, or age, other than the minimum age of 14, unless state laws mandate a specific age, and be reasonably representative of the membership.
a. Any member of the board authorized to sign contacts or acting as a signatory on association accounts must be a minimum age of 18.
b. At least 20% of the board must be appointed by the President and Youth Representatives.
c. A maximum of three bowling center proprietors may serve on the board at one time. A proprietor is an individual who is the owner, partner, or corporate officer of a bowling center or group of bowling centers. Excluded from the definition of proprietor is an individual who owns 25% or less of the equity shares, or who is inactive in the management of the bowling center of the bowling center and remains so during the term as an officer.
Registered Volunteer Program:
Please note that once you are elected to the Board of Directors, you will have to undergo a background check through the USBC Registered Volunteers Program. This is due to the fact that the Board of Directors works directly with the youth programs. It includes a mandatory criminal background screening designed to remove and/or discourage those who might harm kids.
Running from the Floor:
Please be advised that if someone plans to run for the Board of Directors from the floor at the open meeting, their qualifications must be submitted to the Association Manager at least 24 hours prior to the elections at the Open Meeting.
The 5th Annual Greater Baton Rouge USBC Championship Tournaments and the 57th Annual Greater Baton Rouge USBC Youth Championships have concluded. The standings show the Top 30 for the Open and Top 20 for the Women's tournaments. Complete standings are available upon request. You have until Dec. 6th, 2014 to report any errors.
The 52nd Annual GBRUSBC Tournament of Champions was held the weekend of June 28th & 29th, 2014 at All Star Lanes. Thanks to all the leagues that were represented in this year's tournament. Here are the Final Standings.
